CARPE DIEM 1 is a 60ft professionally built timber cruiser with twin screw propulsion. The interior features elegant teak wood and is meticulously maintained to ensure top condition at all times. Weather

Indonesia has two main seasons:

• Dry Season (April – September): Best surf conditions, favorable winds, long periods of light or no wind.
• Wet Season (October – March): Frequent showers, cooler temperatures, less frequent swell but still consistent in Mentawai & North Sumatra.

Local surf guides use real-time forecasts to maximize wave quality. Surf availability cannot be guaranteed due to weather variability.

Medical

Guests should bring personal medications, antibiotics, anti-fever and anti-nausea medicines, and first aid supplies. In serious injury cases, the captain may end the trip early to return to Padang for treatment.

Surf Guide

The surf guide is an experienced local surfer who introduces the crew, explains safety rules, and plans surf routes daily according to forecasts for the best possible waves.

Surf Route

The boat travels North to South (or vice versa) with no fixed itinerary, stopping at world-class surf breaks according to daily conditions.

Communication & Internet

• Starlink satellite internet onboard
• Limited phone signal in some islands; local SIM recommended

Waves & Equipment

• Approx. 50 surf spots, 10 world-class waves
• Recommended: surf boots, helmet, UV rash shirt, waterproof sunscreen
