Overview
Built new in 2007, Melaleuca is a traditional Indonesian-designed boat with all modern amenities and western-style safety features. At 89 feet, she offers exceptional interior and exterior space, more than any local boat, and fully air-conditioned comfort throughout most of the vessel. The surf guide couple and Indonesian crew ensure you get the waves you want and enjoy fishing along the way. The boat accommodates up to 10 passengers for 10 days / 11 nights — the surf trip of a lifetime.
Boat Specifications & Layout
- 80 feet of fully air-conditioned interior space (except galley & captain’s quarters)
- Main salon with comfortable couches, bar, flat-screen TV, DVD player, and stereo
- Separate dining area suitable for large groups
- 6 individual cabins: 3 one-person cabins, 3 two-person cabins, plus surf guide cabin (all with A/C units)
- Two bathrooms, one with interior access for foul weather
- Spacious upper deck with stereo, half covered, half open with hand-top shade
- Fishing station with hard top, easy access board storage, outside shower, and swim platform
- Twin Mitsubishi 8DC9 engines (320 HP each)
- Two Mitsubishi PS 100 250V generators
- Cruising speed: 8–10 knots
- Navigation & safety: Furuno Radar, Furuno GPS, Furuno Echo Sounder, Kenwood SSB, Icom VHF, EPIRB, flares, smoke & emergency alarms
- Tender: 20-foot chauffeur-driven with 70 HP engine
- Meals: Traditional Indonesian cuisine prepared western style, sushi, vegetarian options, snacks, beverages
